The recent passing of our long-time shop volunteer and leader Neil Petty has resulted in honor donations to which we would like to attach a bonus. Amounting to approximately $10,000, we’re proposing that these donations be used as the basis of a matching challenge campaign..There will be a specific application of the funds from this campaign -- one that, ironically, Neil proposed himself. Here’s the story: We’ve been limping along on an old forklift in our warehouse that’s been running more on prayers than anything else. Before leaving us, Neil had urged replacing it as soon as funding would allow, not realizing the role he was about to play in that.

If you can help us match those donations already received, we will be able to purchase a much better forklift (used or even new, depending on the amount received).

As the end of the year nears, some of you may want to consider tax reasons for joining in this campaign. Whatever your situation may be, consider the many who continue to receive the gift of mobility when we have the necessary equipment to make it happen.
