P.E.T. Florida Volunteers

Become a Volunteer and Change Lives

Come join our mission of mobility at P.E.T. Florida Penney Farms.  Volunteering with us offers you the unique opportunity to bless and be blessed through our work here. We sometimes use the term “discretionary” when it comes to our spending, but how about our time?  We all have lots of things we can do with our time once our obligations are met – but how many of them provide the satisfaction of actually helping someone in desperate need?  We can offer you that with one of our jobs.

HELP WANTED

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities that cater to many skill sets and interests.  If you already have experience in one of our areas of need – great – but many of our jobs don’t require any.  Here are the jobs we we need filling:

Woodworking: cutting, sanding & drilling

Painting: brushing and rolling wooden parts

Powder Coating: spraying and baking metal parts

Sewing: seat cushions

Welding: (experience preferred, but we can train)

Bagging Hardware

Assembling & Packing

Building maintenance

Office

Fundraising & Promotion: Newsletters, events, presentations, digital media

schedules – ours and yours

Flexibility is the key word here. Because our “employment rules” are flexible concerning when our volunteers work, you can be flexible in deciding the right commitment to make for yourself. You can work whatever hours work for you within these parameters:

Regular Shop Hours: Our shop is open for work weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon, September thru June (no work in July & August)

Your Schedule: You make your own: daily – weekly – monthly – whenever you can make it for as many hours as you can give us.
